 Abstract

Traditionally, Cichorium ontybus leaves has been extensively used to delicacy numerous infectious diseases. The aims of this examination were to determine the total phenol and flavonoid content of this plant using spectrophotometer; and assess the antioxidant and antidiabetic possessions of the flavonoid rich fraction form leaves of Cichorium ontybus. The total flavonoid, and phenolic content assays showed that the flavonoid rich fraction had higher phenolic. The ABTS radical, Lipid peroxidation metal chelating, superoxide radical, nitric oxide scavenging and reducing power abilities and antibacterial activity were also evaluated. The flavonoid rich fraction fraction revealed higher antioxidant properties of ABTS radical (72.31%), Lipid peroxidation (66.34%) metal chelating (78.32%), superoxide scavenging activity (71.56%) and Nitric oxide scavenging activity (81.45%). The antibacterial properties of the polyphenol rich fraction were analyzed by the disc diffusion method, and the flower extracts had higher antibacterial activities against the four bacterial strains used in the study. This study provides information on the synergistic antioxidant and antibacterial properties of phenolics derived from the leaf parts of Cichorium ontybus.

 Abstract

The current research investigates the impact of work life quality on the performance of the teachers. The study is conducted among the teachers of private schools in Cuddalore. The data needed for the study is collected by establishing the questionnaires. Random sampling technique is used in the research to select the respondents of the study. The method of analysis used to explore the association of work life quality with the performance of the teachers is the regression. The statistical analysis of the research study is performed by SPSS. The sample size of the study is 100 private school teachers. The study outcomes show that the job performance of the teachers is influenced by the work life quality.

 Abstract

Human Action Recognition is an imperative research area in the field of computer vision due to its numerous applications such as person surveillance, human to object interaction, etc. Human Action Recognition is based on a pre-trained CNN model for feature extraction. Convolutional neural networks (CNN) is a technique of deep learning. Most convolutional neural networks used for recognition task are built using convolution and pooling layers followed by a few number of fully connected layers and identifying similar patterns in an interval to recognize the action by providing accuracy of 79-90% based on the task.

 Abstract

Protein intake and its effect on muscle mass is one of the most popular topics talked about especially for athletes and training individuals. They are the ones responsible for the growth and hypertrophy of muscles and this has a great impact on the performance. Our study aimed to determine the effect of protein intake on muscle mass among vegetarian and non-vegetarian sports personnel between the age group of 15-30 years in Mumbai. A study was conducted with 30 athletes, involved in training. The objectives were to evaluate the protein intake and to estimate the muscle mass of vegetarian and non-vegetarian sports personnel and compare the effect of protein intake on the muscle mass of vegetarian and non-vegetarian sports personnel. The subjects were assessed using an online questionnaire. Protein intake was analysed using the Food Frequency Questionnaire, which had all the food groups that are rich in protein content. A video tutorial was attached to the questionnaire that showed how to measure the Waist-to-Height ratio by Ashwell. The results of the questionnaire said that the Waist-to-Height ratio on average was 0.4 to 0.5 which is Appropriate. The statistical analysis revealed that, out of the total population, 75% of the population was vegetarian, 15% were non-vegetarian and the rest were vegan. Toor dal was the most common dal option that most athletes had every day. Milk was the preferred source of dairy every day followed by curd, paneer and cheese for 3 days a week. Nuts and oilseeds were also an important source of protein. Almonds and Walnuts were preferred. Eggs followed by Chicken were taken by the Non-Vegetarian population. It was seen that the protein intake of the athlete and his muscle mass are very closely related. To support the growth of muscle mass, some individuals are also ingesting protein supplements. Good quality protein plays a significant role in improving the muscle mass of sports personnel.

 Abstract

In the present world, IoT is changing the infrastructure of technologies. By facilitating effortless interaction among various modules, IoT has enabled us to implement various complex systems such as smart home appliances, smart traffic control systems, smart office systems, smart environment, smart vehicles and smart temperature control systems and so on in very little space. Increase in covid situation there are many ways that the technology can be used to monitor this situation. So, in this project we are implementing the models for covid testing booth, social distance monitoring and health monitoring. IoT based covid testing booth and social distance monitoring allows us to manage the peoples entering into the booth and standing in queue. Internet of Things (IoT) based smart health monitoring system is a patient monitoring system in which a patient can be monitored 24 hours. Health monitoring systems are one of the most notable applications of IoT.
