 Abstract

This study undertakes a comprehensive evaluation of the financial performance of Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank across the financial years 2021-2026, employing comparative financial statement analysis and an extended set of financial ratios including current ratio, liquid ratio, absolute liquid ratio, fixed asset ratio, proprietary ratio, return on assets (ROA), and net interest margin (NIM). The study incorporates a trend analysis across five financial years, a comparative benchmark against regional Grama Bank norms, and an assessment of the bank's performance in the context of post-pandemic rural credit expansion, RBI's priority sector lending guidelines (2023-2025), and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Regional Rural Bank (RRB) consolidation framework. Findings indicate that while the bank has demonstrated consistent growth in deposits, advances, and reserves, critical liquidity gaps persist. The absolute liquid ratio remains below the standard threshold, and the proprietary ratio reflects a persistent over-reliance on external liabilities. New analysis confirms an improving ROA trajectory and a widening NIM, suggestive of enhanced operational efficiency. The study provides evidence-based recommendations for liquidity optimisation, capital strengthening, and technology-led financial inclusion, contributing to the literature on rural cooperative banking in Puducherry

 Abstract

Over the past half-decade, digital ethics has moved from the margins of computer science to a central pillar of responsible innovation. The proliferation of generative AI, agentic systems [14], and large-scale algorithmic decision-making has produced a cascade of ethical frameworks, regulatory instruments, and voluntary standards [5]. Yet despite this dense architecture of principles--transparency, fairness, accountability, privacy, sustainability--a persistent gap remains. This paper identifies and formalizes what we term the Algorithmic Accountability Gap: the disconnect between high-level ethical commitments and the concrete, situated practices through which those commitments are realized (or, more often, fail to be realized) in real-world development and deployment contexts. Drawing on interviews and ethnographic fieldwork conducted across three technology organizations from 2024 to 2025, we show that even well-intentioned teams lack the situated mechanisms to translate abstract principles into actionable technical decisions when faced with competing pressures such as product deadlines, resource constraints, and ambiguous regulatory signals. We propose Situated Accountability as a missing design layer--a set of lightweight, context-aware, and actor-centered practices that bridge principles and practice. We evaluate this approach through a real-world deployment study in a financial services AI system, demonstrating significant improvements in ethical traceability and team confidence. Our findings suggest that the next frontier of digital ethics lies not in generating more principles, but in designing systems that embed accountability where decisions actually happen. Keywords--digital ethics, algorithmic accountability, situated accountability, AI governance, responsible AI, ethics-in-practice, technology ethics, agentic systems.

 Abstract

Abstract: The rapid advancement of aerial technologies has created a growing need for efficient systems capable of monitoring and tracking high-speed objects such as missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. Traditional tracking systems are often expensive, complex, and lack portability. To address these limitations, this project proposes a deep learning-based object detection and tracking system designed for real-time monitoring through a mobile application. The application is developed using Java/XML and integrated with Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database for secure user access and real-time data management. The proposed system uses Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to detect aerial objects from live camera input and track their movement across multiple frames with high accuracy. To improve detection performance, the captured visual data is processed using preprocessing techniques such as noise reduction and normalization. By combining mobile technology, deep learning, Firebase-based cloud support, and AI-driven reporting, the proposed system offers a portable, cost-effective, and efficient solution for modern surveillance, defense observation, and safety analysis.

 Abstract

The paper explores a reading of the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe through the psychoanalytical lens of Carl Gustav Jung, primarily focusing on the Jungian archetypal concepts of the persona, shadow and ego. Focusing on three of the selected poems of Poe, namely, "The Raven", "Annabel Lee" and "Ulalume", this study also examines how the poet externalizes the inner workings of the human psyche, particularly in respect to love, loss and death. The study highlights how the persona represents the outward mask of the self presented to society, the shadow reveals suppressed fears and desires and the ego mediates between these forces. Through a close re-reading of the poems and analysis of the imagery, symbolism, and emotional intensity, this paper aims to demonstrates how the works of Poe portray the struggles of identity and self-understanding, revealing the timeless tension between the conscious and the unconscious self of the mind.

 Abstract

Background Type II Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most common chronic metabolic disorders affecting millions of people worldwide. Proper self-care practices such as dietary management, regular exercise, medication adherence, blood glucose monitoring, and foot care play a vital role in preventing complications and improving the quality of life among diabetic patients. Assessment of self-care practices helps healthcare professionals identify gaps in patient management and plan appropriate interventions. Objectives 1. To assess the self-care practices among patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. 2. To determine the association between self-care practice scores and selected demographic variables among patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Methodology A quantitative research approach with a descriptive cross-sectional research design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted among 100 patients diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus in selected hospitals of Gujarat. Non-probability convenient sampling technique was used for selecting the samples. Data were collected using a structured self-care practice assessment questionnaire. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation and inferential statistics such as chi-square test were used for data analysis. Results The study findings revealed that the majority of participants (38%) belonged to the age group of 51-60 years and 58% were male. Regarding educational status, 38% had secondary education, while 42% of patients had diabetes for 5-10 years. Assessment of self-care practices showed that 48% of patients had average self-care practices, 30% had good self-care practices, and 22% had poor self-care practices. The mean self-care practice score was 18.62 with a standard deviation of 4.24. Significant association was found between self-care practice scores and selected demographic variables such as age, educational status, and duration of diabetes at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion The study concluded that most patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus had average self-care practices. Continuous health education, counseling, and regular follow-up are essential to improve self-care practices and prevent complications among diabetic patients.
