 Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose - This research intends to identify the variables that affect the cultural awareness of management students in Jharkhand. These variables include socio-cultural environment, language barriers, exposure to diversity, and digital exposure. Furthermore, it is intended to determine the attitudes of the students towards cultural diversity and the impact of digital exposure on their cultural awareness. Design/methodology/approach - Quantitative research methods were employed in the study through the use of a survey. The data collection involved 105 participants, specifically management students selected via convenience sampling. The variables analyzed were cultural awareness, digital experience, family culture, language difference, and diverse friendships. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS software in relation to descriptive statistics, correlation, and t-test for one sample group. Findings - According to the research, sociocultural factors, including family culture, language difference, and diverse friends, have a high positive correlation with cultural awareness, while the strongest correlation is shown by having diverse friends. Digital exposure also correlates highly positively with cultural awareness. But the results of the study show that there are low levels of positive attitudes towards cultural diversity among students. Originality/value - This research paper will help in expanding the knowledge that exists in the current literature because it combines both the socio-cultural as well as digital elements of cultural awareness into one model, especially considering the case of Jharkhand. The role played by traditional social variables as well as contemporary digital elements in the development of intercultural competence is emphasized.

 Abstract

Communication barriers between sign language users and non-signers continue to affect millions of individuals with hearing and speech impairments worldwide. Existing sign language translation systems frequently rely on sensor-based gloves, wearable devices, or specialized hardware, resulting in increased implementation cost, reduced portability, and complex maintenance requirements. To address these limitations, this research proposes VisionSpeak, a real-time camera-based sign language to speech translation framework integrating computer vision, deep learning, and intelligent speech synthesis technologies for affordable and accessible communication assistance. The proposed system develops an AI-driven gesture recognition framework capable of capturing, interpreting, and translating sign language gestures into audible speech using a standard webcam. The architecture consists of image acquisition, hand landmark detection, preprocessing and normalization, deep learning-based gesture classification, and real-time speech synthesis modules. OpenCV is utilized for video frame acquisition and processing, while MediaPipe performs real-time detection of 21 hand landmarks including fingertips, finger joints, and wrist positions. The extracted landmark coordinates are normalized and converted into feature vectors for intelligent gesture analysis. A TensorFlow and Keras-based neural network model is implemented for gesture classification using a custom dataset collected under varying environmental conditions and lighting scenarios. The model is trained using dense neural network layers, dropout regularization, categorical cross-entropy optimization, and cross-validation techniques to improve classification accuracy and reduce overfitting. Furthermore, the recognized gesture labels are converted into natural speech output using gTTS and pyttsx3 text-to-speech libraries, enabling seamless communication between sign language users and the general public. The proposed VisionSpeak framework is implemented using Python, TensorFlow, OpenCV, MediaPipe, and speech synthesis libraries, and evaluated using real-time gesture datasets consisting of alphabet gestures, common words, and simple conversational expressions. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the system achieves an average gesture recognition accuracy exceeding 94%, with a real-time response latency below 200 milliseconds. Performance evaluation under multiple lighting conditions further confirms the robustness, scalability, and real-time usability of the proposed system. The major contribution of this work lies in developing a low-cost, hardware-free, and AI-powered assistive communication framework capable of delivering accurate real-time sign language translation using only a webcam-based interface. The proposed solution promotes digital accessibility, inclusive communication, and intelligent human-computer interaction, while establishing a scalable foundation for future research in multimodal gesture recognition, continuous sign language translation, and AI-driven assistive technologies.

 Abstract

Contemporary media production increasingly incorporates generative artificial intelligence, automated editing environments, and algorithmically mediated distribution platforms. Under such technological conditions, the central challenge of audiovisual production has shifted from the creation of individual visual assets toward the organization of coherent narrative structures capable of functioning across complex digital ecosystems. This article examines a methodological approach to narrative design developed in contemporary digital filmmaking practice. Particular attention is given to the work of filmmaker Andriy Shvydkyy, whose production methods propose a structured approach to coordinating narrative logic, visual composition, and algorithmically assisted media workflows. His concept of the Visual Storytelling Algorithm (VSA) can be interpreted as a framework designed to stabilize narrative coherence within environments where visual material is increasingly generated through automated or semi-automated processes. Drawing on developments in AI-assisted filmmaking, digital post-production systems, and contemporary media pipelines, this study analyzes how structured narrative frameworks may help maintain continuity and semantic stability across large-scale digital productions. The discussion situates Shvydkyy's methodology within broader transformations affecting the film industry, where directors and producers increasingly operate within hybrid creative-technological environments. The analysis suggests that structured narrative frameworks may play an important role in coordinating complex digital production systems, particularly in projects that combine human creative direction with algorithmically generated media assets.

 Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has increased the demand for secure, transparent, and efficient electronic voting systems. Traditional voting methods often face challenges such as vote tampering, identity fraud, lack of transparency, delayed result processing, and high operational costs. To address these issues, this project presents the development of an Intelligent Blockchain-Based Digital Voting System integrated with biometric authentication and end-to-end data security mechanisms. The proposed system utilizes blockchain technology to create a decentralized and tamper-resistant voting platform where each vote is securely recorded as an immutable transaction. Biometric authentication techniques, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, are incorporated to ensure that only authorized voters can access the system and cast their votes, thereby eliminating duplicate and fraudulent voting activities. End-to-end encryption is implemented to protect sensitive voter information and maintain confidentiality during data transmission and storage. The system also provides transparency, real-time vote tracking, and faster result generation while preserving voter anonymity. Additionally, the intelligent architecture improves reliability, scalability, and trustworthiness in electoral processes. The proposed solution aims to modernize digital voting infrastructure by combining blockchain security, biometric verification, and advanced cybersecurity techniques to ensure fair, accurate, and secure elections in modern democratic systems.
