 Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of emotional intelligence of the employee on their organizational commitment. The field selected for the study is Private Banks in Chennai. The respondents for the study are selected through simple random sampling. The sample size decided for the study is 100 and the tool adopted for the collection of data is a questionnaire. The collected data is put into regression analysis. It was also reported that emotional intelligence was seen to predict Organizational commitment. The finding of the study shows that that the emotional intelligence had a positive effect on Organizational commitment, which means Organizational commitment increase in the presence of emotional intelligence.

 Abstract

R.K.Narayan's novel 'The Guide' published in 1958 is based on Malgudi, a fictional town in south India. The novel describes the transformation of the protagonist Raju from a tourist guide to a spiritual guide and then one of the most famous holy man of India. The title refers to the last three of the roles that Raju assumed in his Unplanned career i.e. as a tourist guide, as guide for Rosie and as Spiritual guide for society. He begins his career as any other young man of average abilities by fitting into any role that comes his way. He runs the petty shop of his father and when Malgudi station is set up, he runs a book stall selling, old magazines, being enquired by the passengers on various details about the neighbouring places and he assumes the role of a tourist guide. His chance encounter with Marco-Rosie makes him change his role as a champion of Rosie's craving for dancing career. He gradually assumes the role of an impresario and manager of Rosie's dance career. Then a transformation takes place from fake swami to true sanyasi (Spiritual Guide).

 Abstract

Globalization is the process of interaction and integration of world economics, culture, technology and individual. In ancient time, human had visited different places and exchange ideas, trades, culture and technology. Globalization had got assistance by steamships, railroads, the telegraph and economic cooperation. In India, the process of globalization became efficient when new economic policy was came into effect. The country got the flavor of new global trade, food habit, culture, technology and ideas. New technology, organizational set up creates new experiences to human being. As like that the Oil town of Assam that is, Duliajan town continuously getting the fruits of globalization. The methodology of the research carries that, the research is conducted with the support of primary as well as secondary data. Primary data are collected with the assistance of interview and secondary data are collected with support of book, journal and internet sources. Objective of the research- (i) To know the impact of globalization at Duliajan town. The outcome of the research is that, the town has experience mix impact of it.

 Abstract

This paper brings out the issue of poor participation of learners in classroom activities at tertiary level to the foreground. It tries to probe the reasons for poor participation of the learners in the language classroom. In order to find actual participation of the learners in different contexts using different variables the study collected data from the target group of students on their participation in the classroom activities. The active participation of the learners in the classroom determines the effective learning in the language classroom. The data collected using random sampling from 16 colleges from Telangana show that 20 percent of students actively participated, 46 percent of students participated moderately and 34 percent of students were passive participants. Upon inquiring the students and teachers and classroom observation it was understood that the poor participation is due to selection of teacher dominant methods of teaching. So, this study tried to experiment with the drama techniques for maximum level of student participation in the classroom. This paper shares the finding of the empirical study which used drama techniques to enhance the participation of learners in the given context. It also discusses the changes brought by the intervention classes. Finally, it showcases the difference between the pre-intervention classes and post-intervention classes.
