Abstract
India adopted a federal structure which is disintegrated in nature and based on the Canadian model of federation . India has a quasi-federal structure with a unitary bias with a written constitution , dual polity and Independent judiciary where there is division of power between the centre and the state , and the items are divided into three list union list , state list and the concurrent list ,India adopted federal structure because of its huge size and socio-economic diversity however we see the union has the power to overrule the state government in certain matters , when the state allows the central to make decisions. It totally depends upon the union whether to accept or reject a decision of the state government . There are situation where the central tries to overrule matters mentioned in the state list which rest in conflict and rivalry between the state and the central . Regionalism , Unequal representation of units , religion , language , demand for the formation of more states , absences of fiscal federalism and so much centralisation have acted as an hurdle in the smooth working of a federal structure and challenges which require actions.

Abstract
There are number of movements in which Bodo women participated along with their male counterparts in Assam. It may be Brahma movement, Script movement, Bodoland movement, etc. Bodo Women participated in many ways during the Bodoland movement initiated by the ABSU in order to achieve the goals of the Bodos. Therefore, participation and contribution of Bodo women in the Bodoland movement should not be forget to give respect and honour by the society of the Bodos. But so far no research works has been done on these areas. So I hope through my research articles people will come to know the role played by the women folks of the Bodo and thereby give credit for their role and contribution towards the Boboland movement. But when it comes to position and honour in the society, they are always placed in the second line in the raw. They have accepted their services as a service demanded by the society or by the community. There is no chance of development of the society unless the condition of women is improved.

Abstract
Background: Obesity is quite common disorder due to overuse of travelling facilities, excess eating of junk foods and unaware of health guidelines. Method: 85 adult patients aged between 40 to 60 years were studied. Their BMI and HTN were noted more over their various habits and socio-economic status was also recorded. Their Routine Blood examination and lipid profile was analysed and treated accordingly. Results: 54 (63.5%) had BMI 26 to 28 and 31 (36.4%) had 29 to 30, 33 (38.8%) had HTN and 52 (61.1%) had No HTN. Their habits were 48 (56.4%) were leading sedentary life, 23 (27%) alcoholic, 19 (22.3%) smokers, 24 (28.2%) tobacco chewers. Conclusion: These finding indicates that, the medical faculties including medico-social workers, clinicians must create awareness about obesity and its risk factors.
